FAQ

Answers to your questions.

If you're considering a VID engagement and something isn't clear — it's probably answered here. If it isn't, the fastest path is a discovery call. We'd rather answer a question on a call than have it sit between you and a decision.

What is VID?

VID is a video infrastructure company. We install and operate Video Operating Systems — VidOS™ — inside B2B marketing teams.

We are not a production agency. We do not make videos for you and then leave. We build the system that makes your team capable of producing video consistently, predictably, and without depending on any single vendor or individual to keep it running.

The VidOS™ Install is our core engagement. In 30 days, we deploy all four layers of the Video Operating System inside your company — the messaging framework your scripts are written from, the production workflow running in your project management system, the performance tracking that connects video to pipeline, and a trained team that operates the system independently when we are done. Three foundational video assets are produced and delivered in the same 30 days.

After the Install, companies that want VID to continue running the system engage our Operator service — ongoing monthly video production and distribution across one or more of seven channel systems, operated by VID inside your installed infrastructure.

For teams not yet ready for a full Install, we offer a la carte services — individual strategy sessions, production engagements, Brand Narrative Strategy, and VidOS™ Sprint — that serve specific needs while building toward a full infrastructure deployment.

The simplest way to understand what VID is: every other video vendor you have worked with made you content. VID builds the capability to make it yourself — and then operates that capability for as long as you want us to.

What makes VID different from a video agency?

The difference is structural, not stylistic.

A video agency makes content for your company. You brief them. They produce. They deliver. The project ends. And when the next video is needed, the process starts over — because nothing was transferred. The agency is the capability. When the agency relationship ends, the capability ends with it.

VID installs capability inside your company. The Messaging Framework, the Format Stack, the production workflow, the filming standard, the publishing standard, the performance tracking — all of it is documented, built into your systems, and trained into your team. When the Install closes, your company can produce video without VID in the room. That is not an outcome any agency relationship produces.

There are four specific differences that matter most:

You own the system. Everything VID installs belongs to your company permanently. The Messaging Framework is yours. The workflow is in your project management tool. The trained capability belongs to your team. If you never work with VID again after Day 30, you still have the infrastructure.

The output is infrastructure, not content. An agency delivers a video. VID delivers a running system that produces videos — with a documented standard, a production calendar, and a trained team that operates it. The difference is the difference between a contractor who builds you a house and a contractor who teaches your team how to build houses.

Strategy comes before production. At a production agency, you brief the project and production begins. At VID, no camera is turned on until the Messaging Framework is documented — the ICP at scripting depth, the problem statement in buyer language, the differentiator as a provable mechanism, the proof architecture, and the transformation promise. Every asset VID produces is built on that foundation. The result is content that converts rather than content that describes.

Performance is built in from Day 1. Agencies deliver assets. VID installs tracking infrastructure that connects video consumption to CRM pipeline activity — so the investment in video is visible in pipeline terms, not in view counts. The monthly performance report that comes out of a VID engagement tells you which content is influencing which deals at which stages. No agency relationship produces that.

The honest version of the difference: if you need a video made, hire an agency. If you need a video system built — one that produces consistently, survives personnel changes, connects to pipeline, and runs without you chasing it every week — that is what VID is built for.

What is a Video Operating System?

A Video Operating System is a documented system that gives your marketing team everything they need to produce, publish, and scale video consistently — without relying on external agencies or starting from scratch every quarter.

Why don't most marketing teams have one?

Because most teams treat video like a project.

They hire an agency. They produce a few videos. The contract ends. The system disappears. And the next time leadership asks for video — the team starts over from zero.

It's slow. It's expensive. And it never compounds.

What's the alternative?

Treating video like a system instead of a project.

A system has documented workflows. A consistent publishing cadence. Internal production capability that doesn't depend on any single person or vendor to keep it running.

That's how every other part of your marketing stack operates. Video should work the same way.

What is VidOS™?

VidOS™ is VID's proprietary Video Operating System built specifically for B2B marketing teams.

It's not software. It's not a platform. It's a four-layer framework — strategy, operations, tech stack, and execution — installed inside your team in 30 days.

Once it's running, your team produces video every week. Without agencies. Without starting over. Without depending on us.

Most teams have tools. Some have a loose process. Almost none have a documented, repeatable system that survives personnel changes, vendor endings, and quarterly priority shifts.

VidOS™ is the infrastructure underneath the production — the part that makes everything else predictable.

Who is VID built for?

B2B marketing teams at SaaS, Tech, Healthcare, or Financial Services companies with $5M–$500M+ in revenue.

The decision-maker is typically a CMO, VP Marketing, or Head of Growth who is tired of reactive video production and ready to build something permanent.

What if we already work with a video agency?

Agencies and VID solve different problems. Your agency produces content. VID installs the infrastructure that makes production systematic and independent.

Many of our clients continue working with vendors after their Install — the difference is those vendors now operate inside a documented system with clear briefs, defined formats, and established standards.

What if we already have an internal editor or content person?

Install isn't about editing. It's about strategy, cadence, workflow, and revenue alignment.

Most teams with internal editors still have chaos — they just have chaos with nicer footage.

Install gives your internal team the system that makes their work more consistent and more impactful.

Do you work with small teams?

Yes. Team size isn't the constraint. What matters is whether someone on the team has the capacity and authority to own the video system after Day 30.

We've completed Installs with three-person marketing teams. The workflow is built to match your team's actual capacity.

What types of companies are not a good fit?

Bootstrapped founders with no marketing team. Companies under $2M in revenue.

Teams looking for a single video with no interest in building a system. If that's you — VID Blueprint is a better starting point.

Do you guarantee results?

We guarantee delivery and adoption — not views, revenue, or lead volume. Those outcomes depend on your offer, your sales process, and your market.

We'll tell you honestly on the discovery call if we think video isn't the real bottleneck.

What services does VID offer?

VID offers four ways to work together depending on where your team is and what you need right now.

  1. VID Blueprint — learn the VidOS™ framework and build the system yourself.
  2. VID Sprint — one high-impact video asset, fully produced in 2–4 weeks.
  3. VID Install — your complete video system, deployed inside your team in 30 days.
  4. VID Operator — we run your installed system monthly.

We also offer a la carte production services for teams with specific, standalone needs.

Can I use VID for just one video?

Yes. That's what VID Sprint is for. One asset, fully produced, done in 2–4 weeks. No system commitment required.

Or, based on your urgent needs, we customize a video project for your team for best results.

Most Sprint clients recognize the structural problem within 90 days and come back for Install. The Sprint is the proof of concept. The Install is the system.

If you already know you need the system then skip the Sprint and apply for Install directly.

Do you work with teams outside the US?

Yes. Virtual engagements work with teams anywhere.

And for our on-site engagement we have offices around the world to support you in any location.

With VID Install, what exactly gets installed?

No. We deploy a working system, not a deck of recommendations.

By Day 30 you have:

  • A documented Video Channel Blueprint
  • A 90-Day Content Architecture
  • A Format Stack of 3–5 repeatable formats with script templates
  • A complete production workflow running in your project management system
  • A configured tech stack
  • A performance tracking dashboard
  • CRM attribution active
  • 3 foundational revenue-making videoassets filmed, edited, and published

Every deliverable is a functional component of a running system — not a slide deck, not a strategy document, not a recommendation for what you should do next.

What time is required of us during Install?

Your total time commitment is approximately 20–22 hours across 30 days — less than one focused day per week.

  1. Week 0: intake form, approximately 45 minutes.
  2. Week 1: executive alignment session and ecosystem audit review, approximately 4–5 hours.
  3. Week 2: Writer's Room, script review, and production confirmation, approximately 4–5 hours.
  4. Week 3: production day plus rough cut review and tech stack orientation, approximately 5–6 hours plus filming.
  5. Week 4: final asset review, team training session, and handoff walkthrough, approximately 4–5 hours.

Everything else is VID. We do the building. You do the approvals.

What are the 3 foundational revenue assets?

During the VID Install, there are three video assets selected in your Week 1 strategy session based on where your pipeline has the biggest gaps. The three we recommend as the default for most B2B companies:

  1. Brand Story Video — who you are, who you serve, what problem you solve, and why you exist. Lives on your homepage, in sales outreach, and on LinkedIn permanently.
  2. Product or Service Explainer — what you do and how it works, mapped directly to your buyer's questions and objections. The video your sales team sends before every discovery call.
  3. Video Sales Letter (VSL) — the long-form persuasion asset that walks a qualified prospect through the problem, the solution, the proof, and the ask. Lives on your Install or pricing page.

These three cover the full buyer journey — awareness, consideration, decision and can all be filmed in one focused production day.

Do you guarantee revenue or results from the Install?

No. And we're specific about what we do and don't guarantee for a reason.

We guarantee delivery: every agreed milestone — strategy blueprint, workflow, tech stack, and three published revenue assets — within 30 days. If we miss anything, we work free until every item is complete.

We guarantee adoption: if your team isn't independently producing video on the installed system by Day 45, we rebuild what isn't working and retrain. Still at no charge.

We do not guarantee views, virality, revenue, or lead volume. Those outcomes depend on your offer, your sales process, and your distribution — not on the infrastructure we install.

The only thing we can't guarantee is your offer. If video isn't converting, that's a sales problem — and we'll tell you that directly on the call. We'd rather lose a deal than oversell.

What is VID Operator and how does it work?

VID Operator is the monthly operations partnership available exclusively after VID Install. We take over your installed video system — scripting, filming, editing, publishing, and reporting — so your marketing team gets consistent, predictable video output every week without managing production themselves.

The monthly rhythm: planning call and script approvals in Week 1, production in Week 2, editing and review in Weeks 2–3, publishing in Weeks 3–4, performance report at end of month. Your total time commitment is approximately 4–6 hours per month. Everything else is VID.

Because we only operate systems we built. Operator executes against the strategy, workflow, formats, and tech stack installed during VID Install. Without that foundation, monthly operations become a production retainer — which is exactly what we're not.

The Install ensures clean, documented infrastructure before operations begin. That's what makes Operator different from every other video retainer on the market — and what makes the output consistent month after month.

There are three Operator tiers:

  1. Core — from $5,000-$7,000/month. One growth channel. 4 anchor videos per month. 4–6 short-form assets. Dedicated Strategist, Editor, and PM.
  2. Growth — from $11,000/month. Two growth channels. 8 anchor videos per month. 8–12 short-form assets. Creative testing framework included.
  3. Scale — from $18,500/month. Three growth channels. 12 anchor videos per month. 15–25 short-form assets. Senior production team. Executive content. Quarterly strategic roadmap.

If your team needs more than three growth channels then talk with our team about our Scale+ plans where we increase channel distribution and video volume support (more channels + more content).

Minimum 6-month commitment. Install required before any Operator tier.

What is the VID Sprint?

VID Sprint is one high-impact video asset, fully produced, in 1–4 weeks. Virtual from $4,000. On-site from $9,000.

The Sprint is structured around three steps: identify your one win (the single commercial objective this video must achieve), select your video type (Brand Story, Explainer, VSL, Testimonial, or others from the full menu), and select your production format (virtual or on-site).

Every Sprint includes a 60-minute strategy session, script development, storyboard and shot list, production (virtual direction or on-site crew), professional post-production, and 2 revision rounds.

If you already know you have a structural problem — inconsistent production, quarterly resets, capability that depends on one person — skip the Sprint and apply for Install directly. The Sprint produces a great asset and leaves the structural problem exactly where it started.

The Sprint is right for two situations: you have a specific, bounded gap to close right now and one asset genuinely addresses it, or you want to experience VID's production quality before committing to Install.

Is there a payment plan available?

The standard payment structure for Sprint and Install plans include 50% on signing and 50% at handoff. This structure exists because it aligns incentives. We're motivated to deliver everything before the final payment, and you're protected from paying in full before the work is done.

Operator plans are auto-billed in full every month for continued system deployment and operation to help you company scale video and results.

Payment plan arrangements outside this structure are considered case-by-case. Reach out before applying if this is a constraint.

What exactly is the Double Guarantee?

Two guarantees. Both in the services agreement before Day 1 for VidOS™ Install.

Delivery Guarantee: Every agreed milestone — strategy blueprint, workflow documentation, tech stack configuration, and three published revenue assets — delivered within 30 days. If we miss a single milestone, we keep working at zero cost until every item is complete. No exceptions. No scope renegotiation.

Adoption Guarantee: If your team isn't independently producing video on the installed system by Day 45, we come back. We rebuild what isn't working. We run a live retraining session. Still at no charge.

The guarantee does not cover views, virality, revenue, lead volume, or conversion rates.

These outcomes depend on your offer, your sales process, and your market positioning, not on the infrastructure we install. We're explicit about this because we'd rather define the boundary clearly than have an expectation mismatch.

If video isn't converting after Install, we'll tell you directly whether it's a system problem (covered) or an offer problem (not covered). Usually it's the latter, and we'll tell you that on the discovery call if we see it coming.
